Mat 21:1-46
Israel was ruled by wicked pharisees and teachers of the law. Jesus came and gave hints on how the position will be turned over.
Jesus curses a fig tree It is projected that the tree looked fresh with lots of leaves, but Jesus saw that it did not bear any fruit. He cursed the tree and it withered immediately.
This reflects how the pharisees are all talk and no actions. Tidak ada buah” Roh yang dihasilkan walaupun dari luar mereka suci dan hafal taurat”.
The Parable of the Two Sons. A miniature of the parable of the lost son. The first son actually did what the father asked although at first he rejected and was lost, whilst the second looked like he was obedient and pure when in reality he did not do as the father asked.
This reflects how performance outdoes promise. God isn’t able to be fooled by our outer looks and sweet promises, he sees the performance and our true being.
The Parable of the Tenants. God illustrated how His Father has sent a lot of servants (prophets, disciples,) but the pharisees rejected them and wickedly treat them. Ending with the Son (Jesus) to be excecuted. But then the Father will turn over the position and replace the faulty leaders with His true followers.
For the greed for glory has blinded them from the ‘cornerstone’, what truly matters for the nation.
